WE ARE NOT GYMNASTICS
Parkour and gymnastics had totally different histories. One is a competition sport that traces its modern roots back to ancient greece. Parkour on the other hand traces its roots back to native peoples across the world who used their movements for day to day survival and hunting.

Over the years the world of parkour (and movement in general) have explored movement from many disciplines, capoeira, break dancing, martial arts, gymnastics, rock climbing to name a few, but the core of parkour comes from long before.
Parkour is not gymnastics done in an urban environment. It is a totally different thing, and some times people include gymnastics with their parkour.
In the past we have opened up acrobatics classes to new students. However, we mostly attracted students who wanted to do gymnastics but could not get a space at any gymnastics centres they could find.
Clearly, we are not looking to be anyones second choice, we want to train people who actually want to learn parkour... Someone who is only at the class because they are passing the time before they can get to the place they would rather be is not a great student.
These days, we have reorganised the classes such that students will only start acrobatic techniques with us after they have achieved the Black Band in our parkour training system. Meaning they have spent years with us training exclusively parkour.
