A quick search on Wikipedia would give us this answer.
"Anti-fragility is a property of systems in which they increase in capability to thrive as a result of stressors, shocks, volatility, noise, mistakes, faults, attacks, or failures.
The concept was developed by Nassim Nicholas Taleb in his book, Anti-fragile, and in technical papers."
I first heard the concept when I was watching a video on Robert Kiyosaki. He basically compared it to the concepts of fragile and tough.

Being Fragile
Being fragile means something or someone is easily broken, damaged, or harmed.
This can be applied literally to objects like fragile china or figuratively to a person's health, ego, or emotional state, indicating weakness, vulnerability, and a lack of resilience.
😱
Wait, what about being tough?
Most people think that the solution is simply to toughen up, but is it?
The ability to be strong enough to withstand adverse conditions or rough or careless handling.
Hmmm, well that sounds good...
But wait 🧐,
material science defines it this way. A tough material is one that can absorb a significant amount of energy before it fractures, combining both strength and ductility to resist breaking under stress or impact
KEY POINT...
BEFORE IT FRACTURES
So something (or someone) who is tough can resist adversity up to a point. Beyond this, they WILL BREAK.
Can I learn to be more anti-fragile?
Being anti-fragile means that the more pressure the person or object is under, the more capable it becomes in resisting that pressure. But how can we make someone anti-fragile. In the next few weeks I will be posting some of the ways that we do this within our class.
